Jersey's preparations for the Pepsi ICC World Cricket League received a boost after an excellent 77-run win over Fiji in a tournament warm-up match.
Despite making just 135 all out with the bat, including an excellent late partnership between Tony Carlyon (22) and Anthony Hawkins-Kay (20), Jersey showed better form with the ball.
Mat Hague's side gave an excellent all-round display with the ball, on a difficult batting track, as Fiji was reduced to 58 all out off 21.3 overs.
Young spinner Ben Stevens took 3-4 to clean up the Fiji tail, after Ryan Driver, Anthony Hawkins-Kay and Mat Hague had all picked up two wickets.
In the other game of the day, Afghanistan beat a Tanzanian Academy side by 26 runs.
Jersey face Tanzania in Saturday's opening game, while Fiji play Afghanistan. The other game will see Hong Kong play Italy.
