Hong Kong spinner Nadeem Ahmed is hoping his side continues its winning run at the Pepsi ICC World Cricket League Division 4.

The tournament, which starts on 4 October in Dar Es Salaam in Tanzania, will see the reigning ACC Trophy Elite champions try and overcome the likes of Afghanistan and Italy and take the next step on the road to the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011.

'We're looking to win this tournament as we did in Malaysia at the ACC Trophy,' said .20-year-olf Ahmed who will celebrate his 21st birthday on Sunday.

'We're looking to take it game by game. We have to win five games at the tournament to qualify.

'I think Italy and Afghanistan will be good, but I think we can beat them.

'We've got a good squad, we gel together and help each other out.'

Ahmed came to prominence in the Asia Cup earlier this year, when he took 4-51 against Pakistan as it slumped to 161-7.

His list of victims included Younis Khan, Mohammad Yousuf, Misbah-ul-Haq and Shahid Afridi, but he is modest about his achievements in that match.

'I just tried to do the same thing that I always do,' he said.

'Pakistan's players are big hitters and the wickets were flat so you just bowl to your strengths.'

Ahmed is also hoping that the wickets of Dar Es Salaam will be suited to his bowling.

'I am very confident about my bowling and I have heard that the wickets in Tanzania are very slow so that should suit me,' he said.

'I think my team will do very well there.'
