Vanuatu's preparations for the ICC World Cricket League Division 5 suffered a blow as they lost 2-0 to Fiji in a three-match one-day series.
Fiji clinched the series on Monday with a 27 runs win, after Vanautu were bowled out for 174.
On Sunday, Fiji had defeated Vanuatu by 52 runs thanks to Joe Rika's outstanding 106. Kiti Tavo then took 2-9, Samu took 2-29 and Jio Baba recorded figures of 2-38 as Vanautu fell well short of their target.
The opening game of the series on Saturday was washed out due to heavy rain.
