Jersey Post is celebrating the hosting of the World Cricket League Division 5 Tournament by issuing a set of stamps to mark the occasion. Director of Cricket, Chris Minty, approached Jersey Post in 2007 and explained that the ICC had awarded the Jersey Cricket Board the honour of hosting the tournament commencing on 23rd May 2008.

The JCB rightly views this as a great honour not only for Jersey Cricket but also for Jersey itself because the tournament will attract substantial interest from the cricketing world. Jersey Post agreed to commemorate the 2008 event with a Miniature Sheet containing one stamp. Both the ICC and the ICC World Cricket League logos appear on the Miniature Sheet selvedge background courtesy of these organisations.
