Bermuda won the toss and elected to bat. Both openers were lost with 33 runs on the board, but Irving Romaine (52) and David Hemp (45) led a recovery with an 84 run partnership for the third wicket. Bermuda looked to be coasting on 130/3 but three quick wickets meant another recovery was needed, and it came in the form of Lionel Cann who scored 70 from number seven in the batting line up. He was last man out with Bermuda scoring 247.
Uganda's reply got off to a terrible start as Saleem Mukuddem bowled Roger Mukasa for a duck. Number three batsman Saleh Hamza looked to be helping his team cause an upset with an unbeaten innings of 86, but no one else could stay with him and Uganda were dismissed for 192 to give Bermuda the 55 run win. Bermuda shared the bowling around, using eight bowlers in all. Mukuddem was by far the best with 3/25.
