Norway were again outclassed at Rathmines on Monday, losing to Scotland by nine wickets after having been bowled out for 43 in just 21 overs.

The Norwegians, having been mauled by The Netherlands to the tune of 474 runs on Saturday, elected to bat this time after winning the toss, but they had no answer to the Scottish seam attack of John Blain and Sean Weeraratna.

Blain took the first two wickets, but then Weeraratna ran through the rest of the batting, taking six for 24 in ten overs. Matthew Parker, playing in the full Scottish side for the first time, chimed in towards the end with two for 9.

Only opener Zaheer Ashiq reached double figures, making 11 out of the first 19. The Norwegian total might have been even lower, but the Scots contributed 11 wides in their 21 overs.

Scotland took only 8.2 overs to knock off the runs, losing captain Ryan Watson, caught by Zeeshan Siddiqui off the bowling of Abdul Hamid for 18, in the process. Ritchie Berrington and Qasim Sheikh duly saw them home.
