IRELAND v NETHERLANDS

Final 20/20 World Cup Qualifier

The Final was scheduled to be played at 1.00 p.m. Ireland won the toss and decided to field but rain prevented it being played. It was decided to share the trophy between the two sides. However, which team was first and which was second had to be determined for the purposes of where they would play in the 20/20 World Cup. It was decided that Ireland would rank number one and Netherlands number two, based on their rankings in One Day Internationals.

On the day on which the final was scheduled, Canada beat Bermuda for 5th place This match was held at 9:30 AM in the morning when, ironically, the weather was better than at the time the final was to have been played.

That left the final rankings as follows: - 1 Ireland 2 Netherlands 3 Scotland 4 Kenya 5 Canada 6 Bermuda
