Austria nearly pulled off the shock result of the tournament when they lost narrowly to Gibraltar. Austria scored 123 in their innings with opener Benji Loader top scoring with a well played 54. However only Marco Celeghin with 28 not out and Aman Deep 11 managed to offer any support. For Gibraltar Jonathan Mather with 4 for 23 was the best of the bowlers, and Gareth Balban and Daniel Johnson took 2 wickets each.

In reply Gibraltar were never at ease against the determined Austrians who bowled and fielded like demons as they sensed the chance of victory. Aman Deep and Kasturiarachchigge (right) each bagged two wickets and Tesar, Celeghin and Simpson-Parker each took one apiece. In the end thanks to 47 not out from Philip Hudson Gibraltar got home to win by 2 wickets.
