Paul Reynolds is the best umpire in Leinster - and to many the best in Ireland.
Paul’s umpiring began in 2010 after playing as a wicketkeeper-batsman with Leinster CC. He quickly moved upwards through the ranks and stood in his first international in 2016 – Ireland's Women versus South Africa Women.
He joined the ICC’s second tier international panel in June 2018 and was awarded one of Cricket Ireland’s full-time umpiring season’s contracts in 2019.
He is passionate about improving umpiring standards, constantly challenging umpires to consider different match situations on the LCU&SA’s WhatsApp group.
To date he has umpired in three men's ODI's as well as one T20I. In 2018 he umpired the Ireland v Afghanistan games, and his most recent one-day international appearance was in 2019 when he officiated Bangladesh against West Indies.
He is an integral part of Cricket Leinster, helping the Union set the standard that others aspire to.
